You can't move so fast that you try to change the mores faster than people can accept it. That doesn't mean you do nothing but it means that you do the things that need to be done according to priority.
Have convictions. Be friendly. Stick to your beliefs as they stick to theirs....
You do have to change things as warfare changes.
Actors are agents of change. A film a piece of theater a piece of music or a book can make a difference. It can change the world.
