I don't think it's possible to have a sense of tragedy without having a sense of humor.
It's surprising to me how many of my friends send Christmas cards or holiday...
Humor results when society says you can't scratch certain things in public...
In fact in many ways my mother was quite hippy-dippy serving macrobiotic food and reading 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.'
